It All Begins HerePlanned Giving
Planned giving enables members and friends of the Niantic Community Church to create lasting legacies without feeling the financial impact in their lifetime. Our Planned Giving program strives to help our members faithfully steward their accumulated assets to secure the future of our church.
There is no end to the good your legacy gift can do. You can help the missions of the Church, inspire children to the Love of Christ, promote Justice and Peace, feed the hungry, shelter the homeless. You can support the causes in which you believe, and you can do it in perpetuity.
A planned gift is a deferred gift from a donor’s estate, usually realized after a donor’s death. Unrestricted planned gifts are encouraged, allowing such gifts be used wherever the church’s need is greatest. A gift may go into the Endowment Fund or go into a restricted fund account(s) if the donor wishes to fund a specific purpose (s).
Three popular and easy methods of planned giving are:
Giving Through Your Will or Trust
When you create or update your will or trust you are encouraged to consider everyone you wish to remember, from family and friends, to schools, charities, and of course, the Niantic Community Church.
Giving with a Charitable Gift Annuity
A Charitable Gift Annuity is a contract between a donor and charity, in which the donor transfers cash or appreciated securities in exchange for a partial tax deduction and a lifetime stream of income. When you pass, the balance is given to NCC as a cash gift.
Giving Through Beneficiary Designation: Life Insurance and Retirement Accounts
Beneficiary designation offers another method of contributing to the long term financial health of our church without making an outright cash contribution during your lifetime. If you have life insurance policies, Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA), 401(k), or 403(b) accounts, consider designating the Niantic Community Church as one of your beneficiaries.

Niantic Community Church Legacy Society
Anyone who has made arrangement for a planned gift to the Church in their estate plan becomes a member of the Niantic Community Church Legacy Society. By planning a legacy gift to the church, you are creating a lasting impact, ensuring the future of our mission. Your membership gives voice to your vision for Niantic Community Church’s future, and serves as inspiration for others.
There is no minimum gift amount to becoming a member of the legacy society. The church will not reveal the details of your gift without your permission.
As advocates for the Church’s future, Society members will be recognized the annual report and other church wide communications. Society members are excellent examples of stewardship and are sources of peer information for other church members who are considering a planned gift.
